What is Pollinator Awareness Week?

In 2007, National Pollinator Week was officially declared by the U.S. Senate in order to recognize the importance of pollinators to ecosystem health and agriculture and to support efforts to increase awareness about pollinators.

We are currently planning activities throughout the community in order to:

• Educate members of the community about pollinators and their importance to the ecosystems around us
• Engage and train members of the community in the monitoring and protection of pollinators locally, nationally and globally
• Provide a forum for continuing pollinator awareness and conservation in the community
